About the Work:
Remembrance is part of a deeply personal series exploring the quiet power of memory, motherhood, and the fragile stories captured—or lost—in family photographs.
Each piece reimagines a moment pulled from both my family archive and found, discarded photos, using soft vintage tones and expressive brushwork to evoke the hazy, emotional landscape of memory. Rather than exact replicas, these portraits are acts of reflection—meditations on identity, connection, and healing across generations.
In a world where images are quickly curated and forgotten, Remembrance invites you to slow down, to witness, and to honor the invisible stories that shape who we are.
This painting is a call to preserve, to feel, and to find yourself in the spaces between what’s remembered and what’s lost.
